Why soap?

Our story

It all began in California with a few goats, that were part of a cancer recovery endeavor. From there the herd blossomed, and the restrictions on milk sales meant finding a meaningful outlet for all of the wonderful milk produced by the herd. Handcrafted milk soaps were the logical solution to the problem of too much milk.

After a devastating wildland fire tore through our California farm in 2020, displacing the herd from the farm for months, the herd was relocated the following year to Virginia. Residing in beautiful green pastures, in the lush Piedmont region of Virginia, the herd has taken well to their new home, and their milk is once again being utilized to craft small batch traditional lye soaps for your enjoyment.

As this is a working farm, there may be periods of the year where our soaps are in limited availability. Our focus is on the herd, and babies in the spring, and soaping usually resumes in mid-late summer for early fall releases, and is only available directly through the farm, online.

Crafted with care

The goat milk we use is fresh from the barn, and of the highest quality. As such, the ingredients we incorporate into our soaps are also of the highest quality.

All fragrances used are assured to be phthalate-free, and sourced from reputable vendors. Raw ingredients are ethically sourced. We support small business vendors whenever possible, from our luxury oils, colorants, and fragrances, to our shipping and marketing supplies.

Quality matters to us, and we like to think it shows in our final product.
